Bronzclay ready to fire
Another beautiful day in New Town and a new bronzclay piece going in the kiln today. Waiting for my latest order from Rio Grande so I can start new silver pieces that are sketched and ready to be fabricated. Autumn! A great time to be inspired.

Another beautiful day in the studio!
A busy week! Met with my wonderful friend, Evelyn Turner and picked up photos of some of my work from Charles Lawson at Highlander Studios. I was very pleased with the quality of the photos and expect they will help my applications to juried shows.
Evelyn is inviting some friends to see my work at her home on Nov. 16 from 2 to 5 p.m. Want to come? Let me know.
Last but not least - I met with Steve King of the Gallery on Merchant's Square in Colonial Williamsburg and he will be showing my work in his gallery beginning Monday, Nov. 15. Exciting times for me!!!
Meanwhile, I'm still loving exploring and experimenting with new techniques in my studio. Had a good experience with bronze clay and will be working all day to finish some rings that are on my bench.
What a wonderful life!

Back to work
I'm thrilled to know that my name still exists here. I've been in transition now for 2 years and hope I can make a new start now. My jewelry studio is almost complete and mostly organized. I'm making new pieces with metal clay and continuing to explore the themes that move me, especially nature and Native American designs.

First thoughts
This is the first installment of what I hope will be an interesting journey. I'm sitting in the passenger seat of our motor coach with the laptop on the dashboard at 10 p.m. in Midland, Texas. We've (Len and I) have been traveling since January 5 with stops in various interesting and friend-filled places. We're on our way home to Williamsburg, VA. We are always evaluating what we're doing- we can't help it. We're reaching that age when it's clear to us that we don't know how much longer we'll be breathing. Life could have ended at any time. Now, it's clear to us that we were lucky and we wonder about the future. That doesn't stop us from enjoying, exploring and being in awe at the beauty of nature and this country we call home. I'm tired and don't want to waste anyone's time with my mind-wandering. I'll write more tomorrow and share what I know for me.
